Ben

Ben is the CEO and Founder of Misfit Studios. Driven by a desire to bring that magic closer to home, Ben founded Misfit Studios to work locally with community partners, schools, organizations, and events, delivering high-quality, authentic hero / princess experiences that inspire confidence, joy, and wonder. Every appearance, performance, and interaction is rooted in heart, professionalism, and the simple goal of making kids believe — even just for a moment — that heroes are real.

To me, being a Misfit is all about creating that spark, that moment you have with a child where you convince them that their favorite character is right in front of them. My favorite character to do that with is "Girl Spider"!

I enjoy working with Misfit Studios because it doesn’t feel like a job, it feels like a family. I get to do a job that most don’t. I love that they give me the opportunity to capture fun, unique, and creative shots.

I love being a Misfit! Being able to dress up like a princess and see the joy that it gives children is priceless. "Strong Girl" is my favorite character because kids think it's hilarious when I can pick them up with my strong muscles.

I’ve been cosplaying for 12 years, six of them as a Misfit! I love bringing "Ice Queen" to life and seeing the power of imagination in action. There’s no better feeling than sharing a "warm hug" with a mini fan and knowing I’m helping create a magical core memory for a child.
